HUNNINGS, Mary Margaret Cedars - 1948

Mrs. Mary Margaret Hunnings, 80, died at the home of her son, Raymond in Newtown Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after an illness of 10 weeks.  Mrs. Hunnings was born March 29, 1868 near Waynetown, the daughter of Thomas J. and Jemima Cedars. She was married to Charles Hunnings of Newtown, May 7, 1887. He preceded her in death in 1935.

She was a member of the Newtown Methodist Church and Pythian Sisters.  Surviving are a son, Raymond, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Newtown and burial in the Newtown Cemetery.

Newtown, June 28—Mrs. Mary Margaret Hunnings, 80 died at the home of her son, Raymond, in Newtown Monday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock after an illness of 10 weeks.
  Mrs. Hunnings was born March 29, 1868 near Waynetown, the daughter of Thomas J. and Jemima Cedars. She was married to Charles Hunnings of Newtown May 8, 1887. He preceded her in death in 1935.
  She was a member of the Newtown Methodist Church and of the Pythian Sisters.
  Surviving are a son, Raymond, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist Church in Newtown with Rev. Earnest Prevo officiating. Burial in the Newtown Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour preceding the services.
  The body was taken to the Ferguson Funeral Home in Attica. The body was returned to the home in Newtown Tuesday. Friends may call there.- S&E
